Brothers and Sisters in Christ, we find ourselves in tumultuous times as news spreads of an FBI investigation into a series of racist texts following a recent election – an event that mainstream media would have us believe underscores an undercurrent of discord in our great nation. But let's not be led astray by those who seek to sow division. The Scriptures instruct us, "Judge not, that ye be not judged" (Matthew 7:1, KJV). Yet, the mainstream media and organizations like the FBI often rush to judgment without considering the hearts of those involved or the cultural and spiritual warfare at play. It's instead essential that we as Christians stand firm in our values and focus on the real issues at hand – the erosion of our God-given freedoms and the relentless attack on our conservative principles. The individuals targeted by such investigations are often staunch defenders of our Judeo-Christian values, facing persecution instigated by the left. While we do not condone hatred or racism, for God created all men in His image (Genesis 1:27), we must also recognize that our enemies will use any means necessary, including taking statements out of context, to diminish our cause and silence the voices that champion the righteous path laid out by our forefathers and guided by the Word of God. Let us not forget the wise teachings of Ephesians 6:12, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." A text message can be manipulated to serve the narrative of those who wish to discredit the legitimate concerns many Americans have about the direction in which our country is headed. The purported ‘racist’ texts may very well be simply expressions of concern over policies that are antithetical to our nation's founding principles – concerns that any God-fearing patriot would share. Indeed, the true scrutiny should be on those who continue to push a godless agenda, seeking to undermine the sanctity of life, the sanctity of marriage, and the right to freely worship our Creator without persecution or malice. These are the dire issues at stake, as we witness ongoing attacks on our Second Amendment rights, the sanctity of life, and the voices of conservative Christians nationwide. The focus of the FBI and the media on this matter only diverts attention from the substantive efforts being made by true patriots, led by steadfast leaders such as President Trump, who has continually stood for Christian values and has been a bulwark against the relentless tide of secularism and moral decay. Let us, therefore, be watchful, and pray for those under scrutiny, that they may be vindicated in the face of unfounded accusations, and pray for our nation, that it may return to the Lord, and walk once more in righteousness. "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14, KJV). So, while some would read these news articles and see despair, let us see a call to action - to pray, to support our fellow believers, and to stand firm in the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:11), as we navigate these challenging times in our pursuit of a nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all who follow His Word.
