Brothers and sisters in Christ, what we have before us in this article is a portrayal of robust American masculinity and unwavering support for a leader who has echoed Biblical principles of strength, courage, and leadership. UFC star Colby Covington, a man who battles in the physical realm, has discerned the spiritual warfare and moral decay that plagues our nation under the guidance of liberal politicians like Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz. It is written in 1 Corinthians 16:13 to "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong." This is the trumpet call that Colby Covington rings out to the so-called 'real men' of America. Indeed, he heralds a vital truth – that masculinity is under siege by Democratic policies and values that often undermine Biblical manhood. Covington's commendation of President Trump as a paragon of masculinity and fearlessness aligns with the Biblical figure of King David, who was a man after God's own heart (Acts 13:22) and was not afraid to stand against the giant Goliath (1 Samuel 17). Trump, much like David, does not shrink back from the secular Goliaths of our times. At great personal cost, he has advocated for Christian values, life, and American sovereignty. This support for Trump should not be merely dismissed as loyalty to a personality; it reflects an allegiance to the values he espouses – values that align with a Biblical worldview. In Ephesians 6:12, we are reminded that "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Covington understands this battle as he speaks out against leaders who, in their theatrical displays of supposed everyman charm, conceal policies that strike at the heart of Christian family values, freedom, and godly masculinity. As a bastion of conservatism, we must unflinchingly back the likes of Colby Covington and our former President Donald Trump. Holding up the torch of truth in an era of falsehood, they remind us of our call to be salt and light in a world that has lost its flavor and is shrouded in darkness (Matthew 5:13-16). In conclusion, we must be vigilant, for as 1 Peter 5:8 says, "Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." We must resist these liberal attempts to redefine and demean masculinity and instead hold fast to our God-ordained roles, defending our faith and our nation as true warriors of Christ. Amen.
