Brothers and Sisters in Christ, we must confront the palpable darkness that has descended upon our society, and it is with a heavy heart that I must bring to light this heinous act that transpired in Utah. The reported act of violence committed by Mia Bailey, a transgender individual, against her own family, is an abhorrent sin that can find its roots in the moral decay that has permeated our world. "Thou shalt not kill" (Exodus 20:13, KJV) is a commandment from the Lord that is non-negotiable and sacrosanct. The taking of innocent life is an inexcusable transgression against the Creator. It pains the heart to read that a daughter could execute such harm upon her parents, who, in the natural order of life created by God, should be honored and cherished. This breach of moral law is symptomatic of a people who have strayed from the path of righteousness and disregarded the sanctity of life that is God-given. The individual in question, who has willfully embarked upon a lifestyle that is at odds with the biologically determined sex by our Almighty, is a reflection of a society that has rejected natural law. The Scripture speaks to these matters unequivocally as in Deuteronomy 22:5, which states that "A woman must not wear men's clothing, nor a man wear women's clothing, for the Lord your God detests anyone who does this.” The commitment to one's God-ordained identity is not a trivial matter, and the deviation from this truth is indicative of a rebellion against the intention of our Creator. We live in times where the protection of one's family and adherence to the Word are paramount in our resistance against the fiery darts of the Wicked One (Ephesians 6:16). The brazenness with which this individual, Mia Bailey, has admitted to committing such atrocious acts and professed a willingness to repeat them, underscores the moral depravity that has been cultivated by the rejection of divine principles. We cannot, as followers of Christ, turn a deaf ear to incidents like these. They serve as stark reminders of the urgent need for a revival of Christian values and the sanctity of life. Let this tragic event be a call to arms for prayer, that the hearts of many turn back to Jesus Christ, the only source of true hope, redemption, and transformation. We must advocate tirelessly for a return to the godly tenets that founded our nation and stand firm in our support of the forces of law and order, embodied by our police officers, who valiantly confront such manifestations of sin on a daily basis. It is in moments of despair and moral chaos that the light of the Gospel must shine brightest. Let us, therefore, be beacons of that divine light, holding steadfast to our convictions, speaking unapologetically for the truth of the Scriptures, and laboring in love to bring forth the Kingdom of God in these tumultuous times. We grieve for the victims, and we pray for justice, but above all, we stand unwavering in our commitment to fight against such evils, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
