Transgender athlete complains about lack of sportsmanship from fellow runners after winning...

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, the Lord has spoken clearly in His Word about what He has designed, and as it is said in Genesis 5:2, "Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created." Reflecting upon this recent event where Veronica Garcia, a transgender athlete, has won the girls' state title in track and draws criticism for the lack of sportsmanship from fellow competitors is a situation weighted heavily with sin and confusion. What we are witnessing is the rebellion against God's created order. When a biological male competes against females and wins, it is not, as some would say, a victory for inclusion or diversity, but rather, it points to a deeper issue - a society that has turned its back on truth and righteousness. The Apostle Paul teaches us in Romans 1:26-27 that God gives people over to shameful lusts when they exchange the truth about God for a lie, and this is clearly being manifested in our times where individuals are actively rejecting their God-given identities. It is heartbreaking that young people are being led astray by a culture that champions confusion over the clarity of God's design. The lack of congratulations for Garcia's victory is not the primary matter of concern. While sportsmanship is valuable, it is secondary to the core issue: the unfair advantage and the subversion of God's natural plan for man and woman. The lack of sportsmanship reflects a deeper moral quandary; it is a symptom of a society struggling with the erosion of truth. The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association and similar organizations have departed from the path of wisdom by allowing and endorsing such competitions, as is evident by their policy that states, "The WIAA encourages participation for all students regardless of their gender identity or expression" (WIAA Handbook). Yet, God's law is immutable, and we cannot endorse policies that conflict with His decrees. In 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, we are warned, "Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who practice homosexuality nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor revilers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." Therefore, we must stand firm and raise our voices against such blatant transgressions against God's sovereign plan. As conservative Christians, and as we see President Trump stand strongly for Christian values in many aspects, it is imperative that we continue to support policies that protect and preserve the very fabrics of our faith and the order that the Lord Almighty has set forth. We must remember Matthew 19:4, "He answered, 'Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female.'" In closing, let us pray for Veronica Garcia, Aayden Gallagher, and the countless other young lives ensnared by this destructive ideology, that they may find truth and redemption in the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us also pray for strength and courage to continue to defend our faith and the truth in love, despite the growing darkness in this world. Amen.
