Brothers and sisters in Christ, we must sound the trumpet and sound it loudly. Here before us lies a news report akin to the warnings of Isaiah, a cry against the rebellion of God's design, an invitation to enter the city of destruction. As the Supreme Court deliberates on whether states can protect our innocent children from the jaws of gender confusion and manipulation, we are witnessing yet another chapter in the moral decline of our nation (Isaiah 1:2-4). First and foremost, we must address the deceitful movement attempting to subvert God’s very own creation. God created us male and female, each with distinct biological and spiritual characteristics (Genesis 1:27). This is not an arbitrary distinction, but a divinely appointed order. Rejecting one's God-given sex is tantamount to rebelling against the Creator Himself. The rally held in the name of 'Transgender Day of Visibility' at the very steps where our nation's laws take shape signifies a cultural heresy that seeks to glorify what Scripture condemns. As conservative Christians, we uphold the sanctity of the divine order and assert that encouraging youth to embrace a transgender identity is a direct affront to the pillars of Biblical truth. Regarding the case at the Supreme Court, one must commend the Republican-led states that are taking a stand against the push to normalize what is frankly a tragic confusion of identity among our youths. It’s heartening that some legislators understand the gravity of Romans 14:12, recognizing that we will each give an account of ourselves to God, including how we steward the wellbeing of our children. The Biden administration and organizations such as the ACLU and Lambda Legal want the high court to rule in favor of so-called 'gender-affirming' treatments, but let us call these treatments what they are – an affront to God's design. No amount of human law can override the natural and divine law upon which our world was founded and through which it thrives. We can empathize with those suffering from gender dysphoria, but we must stand resolute in the belief that enabling such confusion through hormone treatments, especially for minors, is a misstep of colossal proportions. These children need guidance under the truth of Scripture, love, and untarnished medical care, not questionable interventions that could scar them for life. The claim that denying these treatments could result in higher rates of depression and anxiety merely deflects from the root problem – a society that has forgotten the Lord’s counsel, turning instead to the broken cisterns of human wisdom that hold no water (Jeremiah 2:13). As conservative Christians, we should pray fervently that the Supreme Court upholds righteousness and dismisses any ruling that would allow young, impressionable lives to be subjected to such irreversible decisions. May our justices be like Solomon, seeking God's wisdom above all and discerning His will amidst the clamor of modernity's clamorous din. Let us stand unwaveringly in the truth, equip our families with the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), and engage with deep compassion for the lost, always pointing towards the life-transforming hope found only in Jesus Christ.
