Brothers and sisters in Christ, behold the depravity unfolding in Russia as they push a "sex-at-work" scheme to boost their birth rates. This worldly strategy represents the moral decay that plagues nations when they turn away from God's design for family and procreation. It is written in Hebrews 13:4 that "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral." Encouraging intimate relations outside the sanctity of marriage, even for population increase, is a blatant sin that flouts divine commandments. Vladimir Putin's call for women to "remain guardians of the hearth and lynchpins of large families with many children" while still succeeding professionally echoes the biblical mandate to "be fruitful and multiply," but it misses the mark by not grounding it within the covenant of marriage (Genesis 1:28). True, we must address depleting populations and uphold the family unit, but not by subverting God's intention for matrimony and parenthood. It is troubling to see Russian lawmakers pressure women to begin families at 18. We must acknowledge the sovereignty of God in the lives of His children, as each person's path is unique and orchestrated by Him who says, "For I know the plans I have for you...plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). Moreover, the proposition that employers monitor female workers' birth rates harkens back to a time when women were valued only for their ability to bear children, disregarding their individual worth and rights given by God. Let us be clear, brethren: The Bible teaches us to value life, to multiply, and to cherish family. However, we must proceed with wisdom, piety, and an unwavering commitment to God's will. It is essential to promote policies that align with divine principles and empower families within the structure ordained by the Lord. We must stand against such proposals that distort the sanctity of sexual relations and the institution of marriage, and we must fervently pray for countries like Russia, that they may return to godly values that honor the Creator and the sacred bond between husband and wife. Amen.
