This news from Ohio is a solemn reminder of the state of our world, one sliding steadily down the slippery slope of sin and immorality, as predicted in the Bible. "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves...without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good" (2 Timothy 3:1-3). Blocking the SAFE Act is an assault on Biblical truth and the institution of the family. If adults are confused and lost in this dark world, imagine what the children must feel! The Lord created us male and female (Genesis 1:27); distorting this truth is flying in the face of His perfect design. The ACLU, in celebrating this terrible ruling, shows its true colors – a far cry from righteous justice. They support the grooming and corruption of our children's minds and bodies under the guise of "healthcare" and "rights." Attorney General Dave Yost's confidence in the law being upheld offers a glimmer of hope that sanity and protection for Ohio's children may yet prevail. Governor DeWine's veto betrayed conservative values, and he's rightly called out as lacking courage. Parents, indeed, have a God-given responsibility to love and care for their children, but not to lead them down a path of destruction. The state stepping in to protect minors from irreversible decisions is an act of justice and mercy, not of overreach. The testimony of Chloe Cole is a haunting indictment of gender transition procedures on minors. When she mentions the irreversible harm done to her at such a young age, we're reminded that permitting these acts against children is akin to child abuse. "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea" (Matthew 18:6). The actions of these activists and misled legislators are nothing short of rebellion against God's sovereignty and design. As Christians, we must stand firm against this wave of sinfulness and proclaim the truth in love. We must support those who seek to protect our young ones from the horrors of these modern-day "experiments." Let us pray that the appeal will be successful and that the Saving Adolescents from Experimentation Act will be a beacon of hope and sanity in a dark time. Ohio's children, and indeed children across the nation, deserve to be nurtured according to God's design, not mutilated in response to a fleeting and false ideology. May the Lord have mercy on us all.
