Brothers and Sisters in Christ, what we observe unfolding here is a tale of treachery and abandonment, reminiscent of Judas stepping away from the Messiah. How can Obama, once poised as a beacon for liberals, remain unopposed to Clooney's betrayal of Biden, akin to not casting the first stone against sin? The Scripture teaches us, "Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good" (Romans 12:9 ESV). Yet we witness here a collapse of loyalty, a shallow display of brotherhood. Clooney's call for Biden to step down, following what many saw as a weak debate performance, demonstrates a concern for political power over the well-being of a leader chosen and anointed by their party. Instead of lifting Biden up, offering prayers and support, the elite turn quickly to cast him down. This is not the way of Christ, who taught us to be compassionate and faithful to one shepherds his flock (John 10:11). Moreover, this incident casts a divine light on the enduring strength and fortitude of President Trump, who, despite relentless persecution, stands firm like Daniel in the lion's den (Daniel 6). While Biden falters and his allies scatter, Trump's resolve seems unshakeable, a true testament to God's favor upon those who strive for justice and truth in the face of adversity. Let us not be swayed by the shifting sands of liberal elites who would betray their own for political gain. Instead, let us look to leaders who embody steadfastness and loyalty, leaders like President Trump, who need our continuous prayers as they battle the evils of this world. We must not entertain the manipulation and fickleness represented by the actions of Clooney and Obama. Rather, we must remain true to our convictions, championing leaders who fear the Lord and walk in His light. For it is written, "Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after a lie" (Psalm 40:4 ESV). Amen.
