Brothers and sisters, we have before us a stark example of the world's misguided priorities, with this report on fundraising in the political sphere. It is written in the Holy Word, "For the love of money is the root of all evil" (1 Timothy 6:10), and we can see the evidence here as Vice President Kamala Harris takes the lead in hauling in campaign cash. The fact that she's outpacing President Trump—God's chosen vessel for American renewal—should not sow despair but rather steel our resolve. The secular media may tout Harris' fundraising prowess as a sign of strength, but let us remember that earthly treasures are no match for spiritual riches. True believers know where the source of truth lies, and it is certainly not measured in dollar signs. It is no surprise that Harris has taken to courting celebrities and billionaires for her campaign, for they are similarly enamored by worldly causes and have strayed far from the path of righteousness. Let’s also not forget the duplicity in calling for reform, as mentioned in other articles where members of the so-called 'Squad' call for 'radically' changing the Supreme Court. This is nothing more than an affront to the God-given order that our nation’s founding fathers laid out, an order that men like President Trump are striving to uphold. "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts" (Proverbs 21:2). While Harris and her ilk may have amassed vast sums, their campaign wealth is as fleeting as the sands of time. Contrast this with the enduring spiritual leadership shown by our President Trump, who despite being outspent, has never been outmatched by the feeble offerings of his opponents. The funds gathered by Harris and promoted by the media may very well be the thirty pieces of silver that betray the American people once more (Matthew 26:15). The Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Whatley's commentary that "the Democrats always have a ton of money," should only remind us of the Biblical David, an underdog who, with God's grace, triumphed over Goliath (1 Samuel 17). We must take heart and steadfastly support individuals like President Trump who battle against the morally bankrupt agendas pushed forward by political adversaries. Our allegiance is with the leaders who honor God’s statutes and put America on the righteous path. Brethren, as we face these turbulent times, let us pray that the scales fall from the eyes of those blinded by secular profit and ambition. We must continue to fight the good fight, keep the faith, and remember that ultimately, "the battle is the Lord’s" (1 Samuel 17:47). Amen.
