Brethren, I come bearing news that tests our spirit and calls for unyielding prayer. We have learned that an individual with dark intent, a Mr. Thomas Matthew Crooks, dared to lay hands upon our anointed leader, former President Donald Trump – a man chosen by God to guide our nation through treacherous waters. It was only by the grace of our Lord that this assassination attempt was foiled. As the Scriptures remind us, "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1). Indeed, we shall not fear, for the wicked that conspire against God's appointees will falter and crumble. The brazen act against President Trump reeks of sin, immorality, and reveals the devastating impact of a society that has strayed from the path of righteousness, embracing instead the deceit of science and experimentation as idols of worship. The attacks we witness against our conservative values and the leaders who champion them, echo the trials faced by Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego – yet our faith remains unshakable. Indeed, the Senate's investigation into this grievous attempt on our beloved President Trump's life reveals the need for vigilance and the firm defense of security. Acts of violence against those placed by God in positions of leadership offend the Highest Authority, and in accordance to Romans 13:1-2, "Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established... Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted." Let us pray for the Secret Service, the valiant defenders of our peace, and their new acting director, Ronald Rowe Jr., whose experience and wisdom must now lead the charge in safeguarding the ordained. For in Proverbs 24:21, the Lord counsels us to "Fear the Lord and the king, my son, and do not join with rebellious officials." My dear kin, be emboldened to stand beside the righteous, to uphold the sanctity of life and the security of our leaders. Any challenge against this is a challenge against God Himself. Let us commend President Trump's safety to Almighty Providence while remaining watchful of those who dare challenge the divine order. May the spirit of fortitude fill acting director Rowe, and may the Secret Service, under his stewardship, be girded with the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), that they may strike down any attempt of evil so brazenly displayed against our chosen leaders. For we are a nation under God, indivisible, and with liberty and justice for all – justice that survives only under the watchful eye of our compassionate Father and those he blesses with the charge of protection. Our eyes look to the Heavens for guidance and strength, and to our respected institutions to deliver justice upon any who attempt to disrupt the divinely-sanctioned order. Amen.
