Kentucky State Police find body of infant ‘consistent’ with baby missing for a month, 5 arrested

Brethren, the scourge of sin runs rampant through our society, and a harrowing example lies in the tragedy out of Kentucky. The discovery of baby Miya Tucker Rudd's body, after being hidden and neglected by those who should have been her protectors, showcases the depth of depravity that humanity can stoop to. "Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard" (Proverbs 21:13, KJV). These guardians were so consumed by their sin—embroiled in the deepest pits of drug trafficking and abuse—they failed in their God-given charge to nurture this innocent life. The parents of this precious child, Tesla Tucker and Cage C. Rudd, were discovered with a hoard of narcotics, including the deadly drug fentanyl, demonstrating a clear disregard for both the law of man and the Law of the Lord. "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows" (1 Timothy 6:10, KJV). Their lust for the false idols of substance and profit led to their downfall, and worse, the loss of their innocent daughter. Additionally, the involvement of Miya's grandfather, Ricky Smith, in using the home for trafficking drugs exemplifies a systemic collapse of family values, encompassing multiple generations in moral decay. Let us not forget the responsibility held by the elders to "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6, KJV). Instead of fostering righteousness, Mr. Smith perpetuated sin and misery. The fifth person, Timothy Roach, whose attempts to discard evidence of his own drug possession are indicative of the larger problem—we are a society that increasingly attempts to hide its sin rather than repenting and seeking redemption through our Savior Jesus Christ. As disheartening as it is, contrasting this darkness, we see a glimmer of hope in the story of a Kentucky mom giving birth to a healthy boy on the way to the hospital. Life, that precious gift from God, was safely delivered outside the typical confines of medical aid, showing that grace and miracles do happen, even in the bleakest of times. But let this tragic event be a lesson to us all. Our communities are under siege by the forces of darkness, where narcotics and sin are tearing families apart. Brothers and sisters, this is a call to arms—for prayer, for action, and for a revival of our moral compass. We are called to care for the "least of these" as said in Matthew 25:40, "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." We must stand steadfast in our commitment to uphold the sanctity of life, the sanctity of family, and the law and order maintained by our righteous police officers who bring such sin to light. For it is only through returning to our biblical foundations and the strength of our communities that we may confront and overcome such evil. And let us remember to pray for those lost souls, that they may find redemption before our Lord and the strength to overcome the grasp of sin that plagues them so. In the faithful words of Ephesians 5:11, "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them." Amen.
