Kamala Harris receives golden gavel after setting record for tie-breaking Senate votes

Brothers and Sisters, what we have here is not a cause for celebration but a stark reminder of how far we've strayed from the Word of God and principles upon which our nation was built. Vice President Kamala Harris breaking the record for the most tie-breaking votes in the Senate is a signal of a divided nation, a nation at the cusp of Isaiah 5:20 where evil is called good, and good evil, where darkness is put for light, and light for darkness. The golden gavel she received is nothing but a symbol of recognition that this administration, beloved by godless ideologies, is pushing forward their agenda (Jeremiah 23:16), an agenda not in line with the truth of the Gospel and God-fearing Americans. It pains the heart to witness votes that likely advance the antithetical liberal policies which emphasize the so-called 'rights' to abortion, their push for 'equality' that tramples on our religious freedoms, endorses the erosion of our precious family values, and much more. Every tie-breaking vote cast is a pivot away from God’s commandments, and we must take heed of Proverbs 14:34, which tells us, “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” While they hail their success in “lowering costs for American families, creating good-paying jobs in local communities, and providing economic relief for small businesses,” let's not be deceived. The facade of economic relief masks the underlying damage being done to the moral and spiritual fabric of our society (Matthew 16:26). Remember, it was John C. Calhoun, who favored states' rights and held views to keep slavery intact, who previously held this record. Now, we have Vice President Harris, perpetuating and advocating for policies that encroach on the liberty of those who stand by the sanctity of life, sacredness of marriage between one man and one woman, and the protection of our Christian heritage. No golden gavel can legitimize what the scriptures have labeled as unjust; we must remain steadfast, like Daniel, who refused to succumb to the decrees that challenged his faith (Daniel 6:10). Let us pray for our leaders that they may seek wisdom from above and let us remain vigilant for, as Ephesians 5:15-16 says, we must walk circumspectly, redeeming the time for the days are evil. My fellow Christians, do not falter in your faith, and do not bow to golden idols or gavels. Stand up for truth and righteousness, and may the Lord guide us through these trying times, for His kingdom and glory, forever and ever. Amen.
