Brethren in faith, we face a constant battle against deception, a struggle outlined in the very Word of God. "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light" (2 Corinthians 11:13-14). We see this echoed in the worldly paths of politics, where a Democratic candidate, Lanon Baccam, recently tried to wipe his account clean of anti-Trump sentiment to falsely appear more moderate to the voters of Iowa. This act, brothers and sisters, is not merely political strategy; it is a reflection of the sin of deceit, masquerading light where there is darkness. Do not be swayed by such falsehoods! A wolf in sheep's clothing remains a wolf, and a politician who scrubs clean his own record is attempting to hide his true self from the electorate. Furthermore, as believers who hold fast to the commandments and the teachings of our Lord, we know that "the Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy" (Proverbs 12:22). It is with fire in our hearts that we must reject those who show a disregard for truth, for they not only undermine our political stability but our moral foundations. In similar contempt for law and righteousness, the Biden DOJ threatens the great state of Iowa over its new immigration law—a clear reflection of the administration's disrespect for state sovereignty and the proper enforcement of laws ordained to protect the citizenry. The brazen disrespect for law enforcement and due process is like the arrogance of Belshazzar defying the Living God (Daniel 5), provoking divine wrath upon his kingdom. Let us remember, those who walk in God's way will not stumble in darkness (Psalm 119:105). We must, therefore, seek leaders who embrace truth, righteousness, and the light of Christ. Leaders like President Trump, who has stood unashamedly in the face of adversity and has been a bastion against the flood of liberal agendas that seek to erode our God-given freedoms and destroy the sanctity of life, family, and faith. In contrast, we see the NRCC lifting the veil on Lanon Baccam's attempts to deceive the public—a commendable stand for truth. Meanwhile, it is incumbent upon us, as stewards of God's truth, to raise the banner of righteousness and to vote for leaders like Republican Zach Nunn, who will honor and uphold not only the Constitution but the very moral fabric that binds our nation to the Almighty. Be vigilant in prayer and action, my friends, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Forward we go, with the full armor of God, into the fray of this world, ever faithful, ever true.
