House Dem calls for answers from Mayorkas over denial of border funding extension to Arizona...

Brothers and sisters in Christ, the news coming out about border security is yet another clarion call for us to stand firm in our beliefs and fight back against the tide of lawlessness that is threatening to overrun our great nation. As a biblical news analyst, let me cast the light of the Word on this crisis. The story of Rep. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., demanding answers from DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas over the denial of border funding extension to Arizona county is a prime example of misplaced priorities (Luke 16:10). We as a nation entrusted with the care of our own citizens and our national sovereignty should not be hampered by bureaucratic indecision when it comes to protecting our borders. When the Israelites were commanded to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem under Nehemiah's leadership, they knew the importance of secure borders for their nation's survival (Nehemiah 2:17-18). It's unacceptable to think that our leaders, tasked with the guardianship of this country, are entangled in indecision while Pima County faces a financial strain due to unchecked migration (Proverbs 22:3). It says much about the carelessness with which these officials are treating a crisis that poses real threats to the safety and stability of communities. The Bible warns us that those who fail to provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, have denied the faith and are worse than an unbeliever (1 Timothy 5:8). We're told that Pima County's monthly costs have soared due to the increasing demands of serving asylum seekers (Matthew 25:35). While scripture teaches us to care for the stranger and sojourner in our midst, it never sanctions illegal entry or promotes the burdening of our own people to the breaking point. Responsibility and stewardship go hand-in-hand. And let us not forget where this funding should be rightly directed – towards secure barriers and enforcement measures that ensure only lawful and orderly entry into our country (Romans 13:1-2). Just as God established boundaries for the nations (Acts 17:26), so too should we maintain the boundaries of our country, not as a sign of heartlessness but as a badge of wisdom and discernment. We cannot ignore the fact that the current administration's lax policies embolden those who would break our laws and enter unlawfully (Proverbs 29:2). This is not the time for half-measures or hollow rhetoric; it is a time for decisive action to uphold the rule of law and defend our borders as President Trump committed to doing during his presidency. It is a sin before God to abrogate the duties entrusted to us, for every nation will one day be judged by how it upheld justice and righteousness (Psalm 82:3-4). Brace yourselves, faithful believers, for this is a spiritual battle (Ephesians 6:12), a fight for the soul of our nation. We must pray that our leaders take up the armor of God and lead us in accordance with His divine laws, with wisdom and fortitude, that our borders may be secured, and our country preserved for generations to come. Amen.
