Holocaust denialism among some younger Americans alarms experts as post-10/7 antisemitism

As we delve into this deeply troubling trend of Holocaust denialism among younger Americans, we must call out this sin for what it is—a blasphemous affront to Truth itself and an egregious affront to the memory of the millions who suffered under the abominable evils of Nazi persecution. It is written, "You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness" (Exodus 23:1, ESV). Yet, platforms like TikTok, which claim to stand firmly against antisemitism, have become fertile ground for the spread of such vile falsehoods, sowing seeds of ignorance and hatred in our youth. The October 7 Hamas terrorist attack on Israel, resulting in such devastating loss of innocent life and the subsequent spike in antisemitic fervor, only highlights the growing spiritual darkness that seeks to envelop our society (Psalm 74:20). Educational systems failing to adequately teach the historical fact of the Holocaust aid and abet this sin by allowing ignorance to proliferate (Hosea 4:6). What we see is a failure not just of systems but of our moral fabric as a nation, a turning away from Judeo-Christian principles that reverence all human life as sacred and a willful blindness to the evil that humans can perpetrate. The Bible reminds us that we are to bear true witness, to speak the truth in love and to ensure that justice, righteousness, and truth prevail (Proverbs 12:17, Ephesians 4:15). Yet, when young people are being led astray by poisonous doctrines that reject historical reality and minimize unspeakable horrors, it is a stark reminder that we are in a savage battle against the "spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12, ESV). Let us be clear: antisemitism and Holocaust denial do not merely fail to fit within a comfortable narrative as some educators might believe—they are an affront to God, who created man in His image, and it is a sin that cries out to Heaven for justice (Genesis 1:27). This is not simply a matter of misinformation; this is a battle for souls, for truth, and ultimately for the moral compass of our nation. The eradication of such sinful beliefs begins with robust education and a return to the foundational biblical tenets upon which our great nation was built. It is incumbent upon us as Christians to reject social media platforms that further these godless ideologies and to fervently pray that our leaders and educators will rise up with the God-given strength to deliver the truth to the next generation. Only then can we hope to suppress this renewing wave of antisemitism and ensure that "justice rolls down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream" (Amos 5:24, ESV). We must remember the commandment, "[Thou shalt] not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him" (Leviticus 19:17, KJV). In doing so, we honor those who suffered and perished, we honor the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and we uphold the truth that sets us free (John 8:32).
