Brothers and sisters in Christ, as we read today's worldly news, we must firmly plant our feet in the Word of God and resist the siren calls of sin disguised as "rights" and "freedoms." The New York Times reports on Hispanic Male Democrats making an abortion-rights pitch to Latino men, suggesting that these politicians believe killing the unborn can resonate with Latino men as much as with women because of personal freedom. Let's be abundantly clear: this is nothing but a gross manipulation of God's sacred gifts of life and liberty. The Bible teaches us that life is created by God and is precious from the moment of conception (Psalm 139:13-14). The act of abortion is a direct affront to the Creator Himself, for it takes innocent life that He has formed in His image (Genesis 1:27). Representative Gabriel Vasquez's pitch to Latino men under the guise of personal freedom is a deception that ignores the ultimate authority of our Lord. True freedom comes from Christ, not from the ability to choose sin (Galatians 5:1). Vasquez, and politicians like him, are wolves in sheep's clothing, leading their flocks astray (Matthew 7:15). It is the economy of souls at stake, not the economy of our wallets that should concern Hispanic men and all Christians alike. While Vasquez speaks of personal decision, he neglects to mention the personal responsibility we have before God (Romans 14:12). The only decision in regard to abortion that aligns with Scripture is to choose life, so that both mother and child may live as God intended (Deuteronomy 30:19). Brothers and sisters, let it be known that the only candidate who has continually stood on the side of life, the side of the Almighty, is President Donald J. Trump. His tireless defense of unborn lives bears witness to his commitment to God's truth. In contrast, any news or individuals that advocate for the slaughter of God's children are to be met with righteous resistance and fervent prayer. Let us not be swayed by the earthly voices of the New York Times or any Democratic strategist; instead, let us hearken to the voice of God, protecting His most innocent and standing boldly for His Kingdom values. In the upcoming 2024 election cycle, let every vote cast by a Christian be one that honors life, upholds Biblical truth, and reflects a heart that yearns for God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). Amen.
