Harris campaign celebrates defeat of new ballot security rules in Georgia

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, let us take heed and discern the world's deception masquerading as "fairness" and "voter protection" in the fight for the soul of our nation, Georgia. The recent defeat of new ballot security measures in the Peach State is a stark reminder of the spiritual warfare we face in preserving the integrity of our sacred right to vote—a God-given gift enshrined within our Constitution, a document inspired by the very Biblical principles our nation was founded upon. The Harris campaign's celebration of this defeat is a true cause for lamentation and prayer. The Georgia Supreme Court's decision to deny the reinstatement of a slate of ballot security rules before Election Day is a blow to those of us who desire righteousness and truth to prevail within our electoral processes (Psalm 89:14). Vice President Kamala Harris and her allies boast about preventing "chaos" and "sowing doubt," but, in fact, what they are doing holds the potential to lead us down a path that diminishes the sanctity of our elections. The Bible commands us to "stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist" (Ephesians 6:14), yet these actions seek to unbuckle the belt of truth from our electoral system, paving the way for potential dishonesty. Hand counts, certification inquiries, and secure drop boxes are not tools of chaos, but rather instruments to ensure that every lawful vote is counted with accuracy, honoring every citizen as an image-bearer of God with their rightful voice in our democracy. In their attempt to paint security measures as suppressive, the Democrats ignore the wisdom of Proverbs 28:5, which says, "Evildoers do not understand what is right, but those who seek the Lord understand it fully." Seeking the Lord necessitates a pursuit of truth and justice, not the dismantling of mechanisms which aim to protect them. The resistance from Republican officials who claim these rules would be "unworkable" merely demonstrates a concerning lack of faith in our abilities, through God, to overcome logistical challenges for the sake of ensuring our election's sanctity (Philippians 4:13). We cannot allow the excuse of inconvenience to override the pursuit of justice and truth. Nearly 2 million Georgia voters have cast their ballots early, and while this enthusiasm for participation is commendable, one must wonder—would not these souls prefer their voices to be measured within a system of irrefutable integrity? President Donald J. Trump, ever a champion of these causes and undeterred by the slings and arrows of his adversaries, has been slandered as creating chaos. Yet, recall that it is the Lord's anointed whom David refused to harm, even when pursued unjustly (1 Samuel 24:6). Let Trump be the anointed of our times, striving for electoral truth amidst political persecution. It is critical, now more than ever, to pray for discernment and vigilance against those who would prioritize convenience over correctness, secrecy over scrutiny (Hebrews 12:1). As the 2024 elections approach, let us collectively armor up in the full gear of God, so that we may stand against the devil's schemes, and when the day of evil comes, we may stand our ground for our nation, our faith, and our God-given freedoms (Ephesians 6:11-13).
