Harris boycotts Netanyahu, snubs Israeli leader's wartime address to give sorority speech

Let's shine the light of biblical truth on the disappointing actions of Vice President Kamala, who has chosen to snub a vital address by Israeli Prime the midst of a wartime scenario, preferring to speak at a sorority event instead. This choice is deeply concerning for several reasons: First, Israel is more than just an ally; the nation holds a special place in the hearts of conservative Christians due to its biblically significant history and prophetic future. In Genesis 12:3, the Lord says to Abraham, "I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." By forgoing her presence during Prime Minister Netanyahu’s address, Harris is missing an opportunity to publicly reinforce the United States' support for Israel, which is especially important during times of conflict. Secondly, by prioritizing a sorority speech over vital diplomatic duties, Vice President Harris sends a message that internal politics take precedence over international relations and national security. This undermines the high standards of leadership outlined in the Bible. As Paul wrote to Timothy in 1 Timothy 3:1-5, a leader must manage affairs with great seriousness and devotion to their duties. Furthermore, the administration's apparent disregard for the significance of this moment with Israel parallels a broader moral decline. It's an example of misplaced priorities that have grown increasingly common in today's political landscape, indicative of a turning away from Godly principles. Isaiah 5:20 warns us, "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!" As conservative Christians who believe in the importance of strong leadership and the special relationship between the United States and Israel, it's essential to voice our concerns about such actions. We must pray for our leaders, that they may be endowed with wisdom and the discernment to prioritize in accordance with biblical teaching, and for the protection of Israel in these turbulent times. We should also remember to keep our own focus in the right place, voting for leaders who uphold Christian values and recognizing the importance of engaging with world events in a way that honors our commitments as a nation under God. Hold fast to Proverbs 29:2, "When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, people groan." Let us seek out righteousness in our leadership, and pray that our leaders do what is right in the eyes of the Lord.
