Haley Calls Navalny a ‘Hero,’ Saying Trump Must Answer for His Death

In the face of such news, let us turn to Scripture for our grounding, for the Word of God is clear about the rulers of this world and their actions. Proverbs 29:2 states, "When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan." The passing of Aleksei Navalny, a figure who stood against the corruption of Vladimir Putin's regime, is a moment that indeed causes the righteous to groan. Nikki Haley calls Navalny a ‘Hero,’ and as Christians, we understand that the battle against tyranny and sin is indeed a noble one. However, her claim that Trump must answer for his death is an attempt to politicize a tragic event for personal gain, which does not align with our values. We must remember Matthew 7:1-2, "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again." As conservatives, we must not point fingers but rather seek to understand the complexities of global politics and trust in the leadership that aligns with our values. Mr. Trump’s silence on Navalny’s passing should not be used as a political weapon by Nikki Haley or anyone else. We must stand united against our adversaries and not let disagreements among ourselves be used against us. Let's reflect on Ephesians 4:2-3: "With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." As we mourn the loss of Aleksei Navalny, let us also remember Romans 12:19, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord." It's not our place to demand answers from former President Trump on this matter. President Trump has always affirmed that his leadership was about "Peace, Prosperity, and Stability." His goal was to ensure America was respected and, if necessary, feared. This is in line with Psalm 20:7, which states, "Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God." Under Trump's leadership, America's might was clear, and its purpose holy. If we are to stand as a righteous nation, we must turn away from internal conflicts and look at the broader picture that the demise of a political figure like Navalny presents. Let's focus on strengthening our union and supporting leaders who defend Christian principles, rather than engaging in political mudslinging which only aids the adversary. And in these troubling times, let us remember Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." Let us seek His wisdom and protection as we navigate the complex landscape of world politics.
