Brothers and sisters in Christ, we find ourselves yet again facing the encroaching influence of a worldly body trying to dictate how we, as a God-fearing nation, should live our lives. It has come to light that the United Nations, a group with no allegiance to our Lord and Savior, is demanding that Americans stop eating meat as a so-called "solution" to climate change. But let us remember the Good Book, where in Genesis 9:3, the Lord says, "Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you." Rep. Mike Flood, a champion in the halls of Congress, stepping forward with a resolution condemning the U.N.'s overreach is a testament to God's wisdom working through our leaders. We need not bend the knee to these secular recommendations that not only disregard our dominion over God's creatures, as granted in Genesis, but also threaten the livelihood of our hardworking American farmers and cattle ranchers. Let's look at the hypocrisy: the U.N. climate summit serving gourmet burgers while calling for us to stop eating meat! This is a modern-day example of false prophets leading us astray, akin to the wolves in sheep's clothing Jesus warned us about in Matthew 7:15. It's time for us to stand firm in our beliefs and reject these misguided climate change solutions that aim to strip us of our rights and traditions. How quickly do these international entities forget the important role meat and livestock production plays in our economy and, more importantly, in our sustenance. We are a nation blessed with abundance, and I resolutely support Rep. Flood's efforts to ensure that our tables remain laden with the nutritious animal-based protein that has nourished generations of Americans. As the false idol of 'climate change' is paraded before us, demanding sacrifices that chip away at our freedoms, let us not be enticed into such sin. Real solutions to caring for God's Earth must respect His design, and that includes the bountiful resources He has provided for us. Remember, our call is to be stewards of the Earth, to "tend and watch over it," as stated in Genesis 2:15, not to follow the flawed prescriptions of a world that has turned away from God. Let's continue to support wise leaders like Rep. Flood, and may God bless his resolution to stand against the U.N.'s intrusion into the sanctity of our traditionally God-honoring way of life. Amen.
