Brethren, we are witnessing a tumultuous time where the foundations of righteousness are constantly being assailed by those who have turned their backs on the divine wisdom that guides us as a nation under God. It's clear from the Fox News article that there's a rebellion brewing within the ranks of the formerly Biden-led administration, with officials decrying what they see as misguided foreign policy in relation to the strife in Gaza. We must stand firm in our understanding that Israel is a beacon of democracy in the Middle East and a chosen nation of the Lord. Genesis 12:3 is unequivocal when the Lord says, "I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." To turn against Israel is to court disaster, both spiritually and politically. Now, these erstwhile officials speak of former President Biden breaking U.S. law by sending weapons to Israel, but they miss the true sin at hand — the sin of failing to support our allies and stand by those who uphold the values of freedom and democracy. It is our duty to lend aid to those who combat the terrorism and chaos sowed by groups like Hamas, who hold little regard for life and seek only destruction. Moreover, they speak of a dam breaking, of a swelling dissent within the government. But the dam that's truly bursting is the one holding back the deluge of misguided sympathy for those who do not cherish peace. The officials who resigned in protest have succumbed to the world's perverse moral inversion, equating the pursuit of safety and peace by the Israelites to the violent aggression of their adversaries. As for the claim that "every single person" these ex-officials know thinks the same as they do, this reeks of arrogance and the sin of pride. Proverbs 16:18 warns us, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." They fail to represent the myriad Americans who, in their moral clarity, see the defense of Israel as just and necessary. Let us also not forget President Trump's unwavering support for Israel, recognizing Jerusalem as its rightful capital and his administration's promotion of the historic Abraham Accords, fostering peace and understanding in the Middle East. That is the sort of leadership we must yearn for, a leadership that stands with God's people, unshaken by the winds of political correctness or globalist scorn. In closing, my fellow believers, let's pray for those who have lost their way and speak against the wisdom of standing with Israel. Pray that they might see the light and the error of their ways and that our nation might once again unite under leaders who fear the Lord and champion the cause of the just. Amen.
