Columbia University braces for antisemitic protests, locking down campus as students return

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, let me be absolutely clear, what we're witnessing at Columbia University is nothing short of a revived Tower of Babel, a congregation of defiance against our Lord's Holy Covenant with Israel. The antisemitic protests that have necessitated a lockdown of this institution are a visible symptom of the moral rot that has permeated our society—driven by the hands of secularism and progressive ideologies. The boldness with which these agitators have targeted not only a sovereign nation but the very apple of God's eye is an outrage. Psalms 122:6 instructs us, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee." Yet, here we have misguided souls, barricading themselves in Hamilton Hall, committing acts of wanton destruction and spewing hatred, directly disobeying God's mandate to love and protect His chosen people. It's a sign of the times when a campus must resort to lockdown procedures and the NYPD must intervene simply to maintain order and protect the innocent. This isn't a question of differing political views; this is a challenge to God's authority. As it is written in Genesis 12:3, "And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." We must stand with Israel and condemn those who seek to curse God's nation. The presence of masked figures destroying property and clashing with authorities is reminiscent of the lawlessness condemned in 2 Thessalonians 2:7, "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way." This lawlessness, this spirit of Antichrist, must be exposed and repelled by all who follow Christ. While the university considers bolstering its public safety capabilities, let us not forget the root of this violence and chaos — sin. It is not through public safety training or new security measures that hearts are changed, but through the transformative power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Still, we acknowledge the role of our law enforcement, our Romans 13:4 protectors, "For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil." To the faculty who supported these destructive actions, know that you have caused little ones to stumble, and as Luke 17:2 declares, "It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones." Let this incident at Columbia University be a wake-up call to all who tolerate or encourage sin: repent now, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.
