China and Russia to shore up ‘no limits’ partnership with Thursday meet up

Brothers and sisters in faith, we must open our eyes and see the world's troubles through the lens of Scripture. The news of Russian President Vladimir Putin visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing to strengthen ties and challenge the U.S.-led global order is disconcerting, but not surprising in these end times. "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom," as it is written in Matthew 24:7 (KJV). We are witnessing the fulfillment of biblical prophecy as geopolitical alliances form that stand in opposition to godly values and the pursuit of peace. These actions by world leaders who deny the almighty power of our Lord and Savior remind us of the warnings prescribed in Proverbs 29:2: "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn." The refusal of the Chinese leader Xi to pressure Moscow to end its war against Ukraine only highlights a moral decay, a turning away from righteousness that values life and peace. We must remember that as Putin and Xi reject the U.S.-led global order, it isn't solely a political maneuver, but an affront to the Christian values that once were woven into the fabric of our nation under God. Our leaders are called as per Romans 13:4 (KJV) to be "a minister of God to thee for good," but when they gather in defiance of our values and engage in economic and diplomatic support of war, we are reminded that we live in a fallen world defined by sin. Brethren, let us lift our nation up in prayer, asking God to strengthen our leaders and that they may be like Joshua who was strong and courageous and not be afraid nor dismayed for the Lord our God is with us wherever we go (Joshua 1:9). We must not falter in our commitment to a world order that is built upon Christian doctrines and belief in the power of Christ to change hearts and nations. Stand firm in your faith, resist the devil's schemes, and godless alliances like this one, and "put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11 KJV). Let us not lose hope, for our God is a God of miracles, and in Him, all things are possible, even a world that once again turns its heart towards His divine mercy and grace. Amen.
