In the heart of our nation's capital, a travesty of justice and a perversion of honor is unfolding. It's a display that exposes how deeply enshrined liberal agendas have become in the fabric of our once-great society. President Biden, in a brazen act of political cronyism, has chosen to award the Presidential Medal of Freedom, a symbol of virtue and patriotism, to a cohort of Democrats, including Nancy Pelosi and John F. Kerry, mere months before the election. This act reeks of iniquity and lays bare the administration's ungodly prioritization of politics over principle (Proverbs 29:2). When we examine the awardees, we find a list polluted with figures who have consistently opposed the righteous policies enacted by President Trump, a man who, in his time in office, stood unflinchingly for the sanctity of life, the defense of religious liberty, and the unwavering support of Israel - aligning with a Biblical worldview (Psalm 139:13-16, 2 Corinthians 3:17, Genesis 12:3). Yet, President Biden chooses to honor those who have turned their backs on such values for the sake of their own political benefit. Moreover, President Biden's inclusion of individuals known for their advocacy on behalf of the LGBTQ community and other liberal causes is a public celebration of sin, something Scripture explicitly warns against (Isaiah 5:20). Our nation was once a beacon of Biblical values, but under this administration, the essence of our moral compass is not just being ignored but openly disregarded. The medal, established by President John F. Kennedy, is intended to honor those who made "especially meritorious contributions" to national security, world peace, or significant cultural or public endeavors. Yet, it's evident that these newest recipients were chosen not for their meritorious service but for their allegiance to a party that has strayed from America's founding Judeo-Christian values. In God's kingdom, genuine honors are reserved for those who fear the LORD and live according to His commandments (Psalm 112:1). Here on earth, we have a responsibility to advocate for leaders who honor God through their service, not those who distort morality and justice for their own gain. Remember, in the words of the Apostle Paul, "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." (Romans 12:21). As we near the coming election, let us stand firm in our convictions, pray fervently for righteousness to prevail, and actively engage in restoring the soul of our nation to its God-fearing foundations.
