Biden tells Americans "we have to bring the nation together" in Thanksgiving comments

The very notion that President Biden would call for unity during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, yet choose to spend his holiday in the lavish setting of a billionaire's home, starkly exemplifies the hypocrisy that is so rampant among those who do not hold fast to true Christian conservative values. The Lord speaks to us in James 2:5, reminding us that God has chosen the poor in faith to be rich, yet here we have a leader indulging in wealth while professing to unite the nation. Mr. Biden's refusal to comment on the situation regarding Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners reveals a lack of righteous decisiveness that should be expected of someone in the highest office. Proverbs 28:1 tells us that the righteous are bold as a lion, but here we see an absence of that biblical boldness. This dismissive nonchalance towards matters of international justice and the well-being of God's chosen people, the Israelis, cannot be approved by those standing for Judeo-Christian principles that the conservative movement cherishes. Furthermore, the Bidens’ secular focus during Thanksgiving, a time that ought to be primarily focused on giving thanks to God for His blessings, reflects a deviation from the heart of what this holiday represents. It's not about 'the little shops' or 'ice cream parlor' or even the 'traditional Friday lunch' as Jill Biden reminisced. Thanksgiving is about humbly bowing our heads to the Giver of all good things (James 1:17) and recognizing our dependence on His grace. The pardoning of turkeys named "Liberty" and "Bell" by President Biden may seem like a cute holiday tradition, but what truly matters is whether we are advocating for and living in the liberty that Christ gives us. Galatians 5:1 instructs us to stand firm therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage. By failing to uphold Christian values in policy and leadership, Mr. Biden’s actions can be perceived as leading the nation away from that very liberty. Therefore, while President Biden calls for unity and decency, it rings hollow unless it is grounded in biblical truth and righteous living. Unity without these foundations is but a facade and an attempt to lead people astray from the principles that have made this country blessed. Second Chronicles 7:14 teaches us that if God's people will humble themselves, pray, and seek His face, turning from their wicked ways, then will He hear from heaven and heal their land. I pray for a spiritual awakening that brings our nation back to these truths, rather than empty talks of unity that lack commitment to moral and spiritual revival. Amen.
