Brethren, let us delve into the news with the discerning eyes of the faithful, as we see the political sphere being tainted with falsehoods and deception. President Biden, in what has become a trend of his presidency, has once again stumbled on his words, even declaring he would defeat Donald Trump "again in 2020." Let us understand, the year is 2024, and such an error shouldn't be brushed aside lightly, for "even in your law it has been written that the testimony of two men is true" (John 8:17, NASB). Where then, as the country looks to its leader, is the confidence in the testimony of one who seems lost in time? Proverbs 29:2 tells us, "When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, But when a wicked man rules, people groan." Are we not in a time where the groans of righteousness are overshadowed by the laughter of the skeptics, as the leader of the nation fails to show the mental acuity required for his grave responsibilities? It is a sorrowful sight when those called to lead the nation stand upon stages of mockery rather than pillars of truth. Let us not forget, during these tumultuous times, to lean upon the wisdom given to us through the Holy Scripture and pray for our leaders — that they may have clarity of mind and spirit, to guide this great nation under the principles we hold dear. However, it is equally important to strive for a leadership that represents our values, our faith, and our conservative ideals. Therefore, as we discern through the confusion of these political skirmishes, may we remember the wise counsel of Philippians 4:8 and dwell on whatever is true, honorable, right, pure, and praiseworthy - values that our current administration seems to struggle to uphold, as evidenced by these constant verbal missteps. Furthermore, let us acknowledge that one falsehood can discredit a leader, as warned in Proverbs 12:22 "Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight." In this regard, President Trump's commitment to America's founding Christian principles and his defense of religious liberties stand as a stark contrast to the current administration's blunders and misdirections. To my fellow citizens, take heed and be steadfast in prayer, vote according to the Scriptures, and may we endorse those who will boldly and correctly fight the good battle for the soul of our nation. Amen.
