Brothers and sisters in Christ, let us dissect the worldly spectacle of the Davos World Economic Forum with the discerning eye of the Spirit, noting the prophetic words of Argentina's President, Javier Milei. This man, though a leader among nations, stands boldly in the face of the global elite, identifying the creeping shadow of socialism as a peril to the very soul of the West (Proverbs 14:34). Such convictions echo the divine wisdom of our Scriptures which tell us that the heart of humanity must be set free in Christ, not enslaved by collectivist chains (Galatians 5:1). Now, these globalists convene in their high towers of Babel, thinking themselves gods over creation, but heed this: the Scripture warns us of such arrogance (Genesis 11:4). Their private jets, symbols of hypocrisy, underscore an elitist disdain for the common man while preaching a green gospel according to their convenience (Matthew 23:28). As for Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts, a voice in the wilderness of worldly power, he tells us of the forgotten people, those who cling to the promise of the American Dream, which is slipping like sand through their fingers. A dream that is indeed rooted in biblical principles of hard work, stewardship, and the pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness, as bestowed by our Creator (Psalm 128:2). Moreover, it is laughable, as Roberts says, to tag Davos as a protector of liberal democracy, and it is an outright fallacy to slander our beloved President Trump as a dictator. Do not the words of Isaiah resonate here, warning of woe to those who call evil good and good evil (Isaiah 5:20)? And let us not pass over the due praise for President Trump, anointed by God to lead our nation, from JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon. Even he, a man of finance and not of faith, acknowledges the hand of Midas that President Trump laid upon our economy, and his stalwart defense against the dragon of the East, China. We know God raises leaders for such times as these (Daniel 2:21). Steve Schwarzman’s lament over the plummeting value of commercial real estate under Biden's administration echoes the warning of Proverbs: "In all toil there is profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty" (Proverbs 14:23). The Biden administration’s failures, particularly at our borders, are a Gehenna that beckons chaos into our midst (Leviticus 19:33-34). Lastly, let us consider the comments of Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who touches on a truth core to our faith: the grievances of the people are real, and to dismiss them is to ignore the very fabric of our human dignity as woven by the hand of God (James 2:5). In conclusion, we must always remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, authorities, and powers of this dark world (Ephesians 6:12). The machinations of this so-called Davos consensus and the elites who gather there stand at odds with our conservative Christian values. Let us hold fast to our faith, our values, and the leadership of anointed ones like President Trump, for "blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord" (Psalm 33:12). Amen.
